DES MOINES, Iowa —More than 100 union members are on strike against Amcor in Des Moines. The union members are calling for better wages and benefits from the packaging manufacturer.
Teamsters Local 238 members went on strike Saturday, saying their payment has not kept pace with the company’s growth.

Union workers at Amcor’s Des Moines plant are expected to strike this Saturday.
Amcor is an international packaging manufacturer with revenues of more than $14 billion. Teamsters Local 238 represents 110 workers there. They say wages and benefits for Des Moines workers have not kept pace with the company’s growth.
